The Anti-Drug Club (ADC) at Nehru Arts and Science College is a student-driven initiative aimed at creating awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and fostering a drug-free academic environment. Functioning under the leadership of committed faculty and enthusiastic student representatives, the club plays a vital role in instilling values of health, responsibility, and social awareness among the student community.

. With a strong emphasis on awareness and education, the cell works to inform individuals, especially students, about the harmful effects of drugs and the importance of a healthy lifestyle. It conducts regular awareness programs, workshops, and counseling sessions in collaboration with health professionals, law enforcement, and rehabilitation centers. By creating an open and supportive platform, the cell encourages individuals to seek help without fear or stigma. It also monitors and addresses instances of drug use through confidential reporting and appropriate intervention. The Anti-Drug Cell believes in the power of preventive action, early intervention, and continuous engagement to combat the rising threat of drug abuse.

Through active collaboration with families, institutions, and communities, the cell strives to build a future where individuals can grow free from the influence of narcotics. The commitment is not only to punish or prevent but also to heal and rehabilitate.

VISION

To build a drug-free society by fostering awareness, responsibility, and resilience among individuals, especially youth, through education, empowerment, and community engagement.

MISSION

To actively prevent and combat drug abuse through awareness campaigns, educational programs, peer support initiatives, and collaboration with communities and institutions, aiming to empower individuals—especially students, to make informed, healthy, and drug-free choices.

Objectives:

  • To provide counseling and support for affected individuals.
  • To promote a healthy, drug-free lifestyle among youth.

  • Observation of Anti-Drug Days:
    Celebrate International Day Against Drug Abuse (June 26) and National Anti-Drug Addiction Day (October 2) with impactful events.
  • Community Outreach:
    Conduct awareness rallies and school visits to educate the public and younger students.
  • Collaboration with Authorities:
    Partner with police departments, rehabilitation centers, and health agencies for expert guidance and referrals.

    Establish a confidential system for students to report drug-related issues or seek help.
