The Mega Pongal Vizha was celebrated with great enthusiasm on 5th January 2025 at Gopanari Tribal Village, Anakkatti, organized by NMCT. The event was graced by the presence of the Honourable Member of Parliament from Pollachi and the District Collector, adding significance to the celebrations. A major highlight of the event was the distribution of clothing to over 1,000 tribal members, a heartfelt gesture to support and uplift the community. Nehru Arts and Science College contributed to the initiative by gifting clothes to 450 tribal members, reflecting its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare. The Pongal Vizha fostered a spirit of unity, cultural celebration, and inclusivity, making it a memorable event for the tribal community and all involved.
