Union Budget 2026–27: Boom or Bane?

The School of Commerce, Nehru Arts and Science College, organized a debate on β€œUnion Budget 2026–27: Boom or Bane?” for India on 20 January 2026 for the students of Commerce The primary objective of the programme was to enable students to critically analyse the key provisions of the Union Budget 2026–27 and assess its impact on various sectors of the Indian economy. The debate provided a platform for students to present arguments both in favour of and against the Budget, focusing on areas such as taxation policies, fiscal deficit, infrastructure development, social welfare measures, and economic sustainability. The session encouraged active participation and enhanced students’ analytical thinking, economic awareness and public speaking skills. Through constructive arguments and evidence-based discussions, students gained deeper insights into national fiscal policies and their implications for economic growth and development.
