About

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) is the flagship programme of Government of India. The aim is to create a virtuous cycle between society and an inclusive academic system by providing knowledge and practices for emerging professions and to upgrade the capabilities of both the public and the private sectors in responding to the development needs of rural India.

VISION

  • Unnat Bharat Abhiyan is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India.

Mission

  • Empower higher educational institutions to collaborate with rural communities in identifying development challenges and formulating effective solutions to promote sustainable growth.
  • It aims to enhance the participation of higher education students and faculty members in addressing the developmental needs of rural India.

Objectives

  • To promote greater engagement of higher education institutions in addressing the emerging needs of adopted rural communities.
  • To provide rural populations with access to the professional expertise and resources of higher education institutions, aimed at improving their livelihoods.
  • To channel the knowledge and skills of higher education institutions towards the advancement and well-being of society.
