The Youth Red Cross (YRC) and the School of Commerce, Nehru Arts and Science College (Autonomous), in collaboration with KG Hospital, Coimbatore, organized a Master Health Check-up for Students and a Blood Donation Camp for Thalassemia Child Patients on 29 January 2026.
The Master Health Check-up emphasized preventive healthcare by providing students with comprehensive medical examinations and expert health guidance. The initiative aimed to promote early detection of health issues and encourage regular health monitoring among students.
The Blood Donation Camp was organized with the objective of supporting children suffering from Thalassemia through voluntary blood donation. Students and staff actively participated, demonstrating compassion and commitment toward saving lives.
Outcome
The initiatives significantly enhanced health awareness, encouraged preventive healthcare practices, and successfully collected blood units for lifesaving treatment. The programme also strengthened humanitarian values, social responsibility, and community service spirit among students and staff.
