The Department of Criminology and Forensic Science organized a Guest Lecture on “The Science of Loss Prevention: Bridging Security, Criminology, and Forensic Investigation” for II B.A. Criminology students. The session provided valuable insights into modern loss prevention strategies, security management practices, and the role of criminology and forensic investigation in minimizing risks and preventing crimes. The resource person explained real-
time case scenarios and professional approaches used in corporate and institutional security systems. Students actively participated and gained practical knowledge about threat identification, evidence handling, and investigative decision-making. The lecture enhanced students’ understanding of interdisciplinary applications and motivated them towards career opportunities in security and forensic domains.
