The Department of Biotechnology successfully organized an orientation programme titled “FutureScope: Medical Coding, Bioinformatics and Drug Design” at the A-Block Seminar Hall. The programme aimed to introduce students to emerging career opportunities in the rapidly growing fields of medical coding, bioinformatics, and drug design.
The session was delivered by Mr. Y. Sridharshan, Resource Person from BioExplora, Coimbatore – 641009. He provided valuable insights into the scope of these domains, industry expectations, career prospects, and the essential skills required to succeed in the life sciences and healthcare sectors. Through practical examples and interactive discussions, students gained a better understanding of how biotechnology integrates with modern healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.
