Associations Inauguration & Spectra 2026

Nehru Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore, successfully inaugurated the Department Associations of the School of Life Sciences, School of Liberal Arts, and School of Creative Sciences on 10 July 2026 at the P.K. Das Auditorium. The inaugural ceremony was graced by Dr. V. Vijayakumar, Principal, Nehru Arts and Science College, who felicitated the dignitaries and encouraged students to actively participate in departmental and professional activities. Dr. Issac Devakumar, Head, International Department, University of Foreign Studies, Guangzhou, China, inaugurated the department associations, and Mr. Nagaraj Iyer, Founder of Divasprik Academy and Consultant, Capacity Building Commission, Coimbatore, delivered a special address highlighting the importance of leadership, innovation, global competencies, and industry readiness among students.

The inauguration marked the beginning of a vibrant academic year for the departments of Food Science and Nutrition, Biotechnology, Microbiology, English, Tamil, Other Languages, Costume Design and Fashion, Catering Science and Hotel Management, and Visual Communications. The event concluded with a renewed commitment to fostering academic excellence, research, creativity, and holistic student development through various departmental association activities planned for the academic year 2026–2027.

Following the inauguration, The schools has also proudly presented SPECTRA 2026. Designed to inspire holistic learning, SPECTRA provided students with opportunities to showcase their artistic talents in a wide range of technical competitions, culinary challenges, quiz contests, and cultural performances that encourage students to think creatively and apply their knowledge beyond the classroom. Through enthusiastic participation and healthy competition, students develop confidence, teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills while fostering a spirit of innovation and professional growth.
