The Art of Fashion Illustration

About the Event

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion, Nehru Arts and Science College, organized a two-day workshop titled “The Art of Fashion Illustration” on 28 & 29 July 2026. The session was led by Mr. S. Elangovan, DFA, PDFA, B.Ed., Chief Artist and Photographer, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, who shared his expertise in fashion illustration and creative sketching techniques. Participants learned fashion figure proportions, garment rendering, color application, and visualization methods through interactive demonstrations and hands-on practice.

Outcome: The workshop enhanced students’ artistic creativity, illustration skills, and confidence in presenting fashion concepts, providing them with practical knowledge essential for academic excellence and future careers in the fashion industry.
