Awareness programme on “My Bharath”

About the Event

The My Bharat Awareness and Enrolment Programme was conducted at Nehru Arts and Science College on 05 August 2026 for NSS, NCC, and Military Wing students. The programme was organized to create awareness about the My Bharat Portal, an initiative of the Government of India, and to encourage students to register as volunteers for community service and nation-building activities. Officials and volunteers from the My Bharat initiative conducted an orientation session explaining the objectives, benefits, and opportunities available through the portal. They demonstrated the online registration process and highlighted the importance of youth participation in civic engagement, leadership, and social development.

Following the orientation, selected NSS student volunteers were appointed as My Bharat Ambassadors and received special training on the enrolment process. These ambassadors subsequently visited various classrooms across the college to create awareness among students, guide them through the registration process, and assist them in enrolling as My Bharat volunteers. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation and resulted in the successful enrolment of a large number of students on the My Bharat Portal. It enhanced students’ awareness of volunteerism, leadership, civic responsibility, and community engagement. The initiative also strengthened the spirit of social responsibility among students and motivated them to actively participate in national development activities through the My Bharat platform.
