Financial Literacy for Women

About the Event

The School of Commerce in association with NSS and UBA organized an Extension Activity on “Financial Literacy for Women” on 23.09.2026 at Karuchamikoundampalayam Village. The programme was conducted with the objective of creating awareness among women about the importance of financial literacy and encouraging them to make informed financial decisions.

Outcome of the Event:

• Improved financial awareness among women regarding savings, budgeting, and responsible money management.
• Enhanced knowledge of banking services such as bank accounts, digital banking, and safe financial transactions.
• Encouraged informed financial decision-making and better planning of personal and household finances.
• Promoted financial independence by motivating women to develop saving habits and make effective use of available financial services.
