Hands-on Training Programme on Mental Health First Aid

About the Event

A Hands-on Training Programme on Mental Health First Aid was organised on 30 September 2026 at 10:00 AM at D III–30. The session was facilitated by Ms. Arsheen Fathima A R, Assistant Professor, Sri Krishna Arts and Science College, Coimbatore. The training provided participants with practical knowledge and skills to recognise early signs of mental health concerns, respond appropriately to individuals experiencing emotional distress, and offer initial support in a sensitive and non-judgemental manner. Through interactive and experiential activities, participants gained a better understanding of mental health first aid, effective communication, supportive responses, and appropriate referral to professional help. The programme aimed to promote mental health awareness and strengthen supportive skills among participants.
