Criminology is an interdisciplinary field that studies crimes and criminal behaviour. During the courses, you will get to learn about the causes of crime, criminal behaviour, prevention of crime, crime statistics, etc. Those involved within the field of criminology typically work with law enforcement agencies, either on a local or national level. While crime rates are increasing internationally, there is a greater demand for people who can solve such cases. As a result, there is an increased demand for criminology graduates. The profession involves the process of investigating a crime from the very first step of it to the last. Such professionals are essential to making our country a better place to live. Criminologists work through various means to control, reduce, and prevent crime within civil society. Every developed country relies on the expertise of criminologists to combat their rising crime rates. Even though it is a relatively new field in India, it is among the most significant fields due to its applicability.
