The Department of Catering Science and Hotel Management organized “Beyond the Classroom: Exploring Hospitality at Le Meridien Hotel, Coimbatore” to provide I Year B.Sc. Catering Science and Hotel Management students with practical exposure to luxury hotel operations and hospitality management. During the visit, students explored key operational departments, including the Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage Service, and Kitchen, gaining valuable insights into their roles and interdepartmental coordination. The hotel professionals guided the students through various sections, explaining operational procedures, guest service standards, and industry best practices. Students actively interacted with hospitality experts, observed real-time hotel operations, and gained firsthand knowledge of professional work environments. The industrial visit successfully bridged classroom learning with practical industry exposure, enhancing students’ professional competence, confidence, and career readiness in the hospitality sector.
