The Department of Criminology and Forensic Science organized a guest lecture on “Next-Generation Fingerprint Identification: From Ridge Characteristics to Molecular Evidence” on 03.10.26 for I M.Sc. Forensic Science students. The session was delivered by Arya P J, Assistant Professor, CMS College, Coimbatore, who provided an insightful overview of the advancements in fingerprint identification and the evolving role of modern forensic techniques. The lecture covered the significance of ridge characteristics and emerging approaches involving molecular evidence in forensic identification.
