Handloom Fashion Show 2026

About the Event

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion organized the Handloom Fashion Show 2026 on 22 July 2026 at the A Block Seminar Hall in association with Makkal Sevai Maiyyam and IDEAMAX Institute of Design, Coimbatore. The event commemorated National Handloom Day by promoting India’s handloom heritage and sustainable fashion. Mr. John Peter, Ms. Kiruthika, and Ms. Sathiya from IDEAMAX Institute of Design served as the judges, while Mrs. Gowrisaravanan and Mr. Indusakanji from Makkal Sevai Maiyyam graced the occasion. Students showcased innovative handloom garments that reflected creativity, craftsmanship, and the relevance of traditional textiles in contemporary fashion.
