Industrial Visit

About the Event

The Department of Microbiology, Nehru Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore, organized one-day industrial visit for the students of II M.Sc and II B.Sc Microbiology to Mycoblooms Mushroomery Pvt. Ltd., Coimbatore, to provide hands-on exposure to commercial mushroom cultivation and its entrepreneurial potential. During the visit, an interactive session enabled students to clarify their doubts regarding mushroom production, business opportunities, and research prospects in the field. The visit effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and industrial practice, enhancing students’ practical skills and scientific understanding. The outcome of the visit was improved knowledge of enhanced awareness of sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship, strengthened laboratory skills, and increased motivation to pursue research and self-employment opportunities in mushroom cultivation.
