About the Event

The Nehru Arts and Science College, under its School of Life Sciences and Department of Biotechnology, organized the International Tiger Day Celebration 2026 on July 29 at Institute of Forest Genetics and Tree Breeding. The event focused on the theme “Save Tigers, Save Forests,” highlighting biodiversity conservation and sustainable development goals. Faculty coordinators and students actively participated in awareness programs, discussions, and educational activities emphasizing wildlife protection. The celebration aimed to promote ecological responsibility, conservation ethics, and the importance of preserving tiger habitats for maintaining environmental balance and supporting global sustainability initiatives.
