About the Event

The Department of Psychology, School of Investigative Science and Technology, organized a Workshop on Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT) on 31 July 2026, led by Mr. Santhosh D., Clinical Psychologist, Government Medical College Hospital, Karur. The programme focused on the principles, ABC model, irrational beliefs, and cognitive restructuring techniques of REBT. Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and case-based learning, students gained a better understanding of the application of REBT in counselling and clinical settings. The workshop enhanced students’ knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, improved their ability to identify irrational beliefs, and strengthened their practical counselling and cognitive restructuring skills.
