Sharing Smiles with Seniors
The NSS and Community Relations Cell successfully organized a programme titled “Sharing Smiles with Seniors” at Jacob Aged Home, Malumichampatti, on 11 July 2026. The aged home accommodates 25 elderly residents. As part of the programme, the NSS volunteers collected essential items from faculty members, students, and well-wishers who generously contributed to support the elderly. These essential items were handed over to the residents of the home. The NSS volunteers also presented cultural performances, including songs and entertainment programmes, which brought joy and happiness to the elderly residents. The interaction created a warm and memorable experience for both the volunteers and the senior citizens. The management and residents of Jacob Aged Home expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the college and the NSS volunteers for their kindness, dedication, and commitment towards community service. The programme was organized under the guidance of the Convenor, Dr. A. Sridevi, with the support of the Staff Coordinators, Dr. S. Satheeshkumar and Dr. Parthasarathy, along with the enthusiastic participation of the NSS volunteers.
