Student Induction Programme and Invited Talk on “Introduction to Virtual 3D Fashion Design”

TThe Department of Costume Design and Fashion, as a part of the Student Induction Programme, organized a Invited Talk on “Introduction to Virtual 3D Fashion Design” for I, II and II CDF students on 02 July 2026 to introduce students to digital fashion design technologies. The resource person, Mr. Ravikumar, Creative Head of Design, Brand Consultant, and 2D & 3D Fashion Designer at Creative 3D Fashion Design School, Coimbatore, delivered the session. The lecture covered the basics of 3D garment creation, virtual draping, digital pattern making, fabric simulation, and virtual fitting. Students also learned about the role of 3D technology in sustainable fashion and modern apparel product development.
