Workshop on AMOS

About the Event

Nehru Arts and Science College, School of Commerce, Department of B.Com (IT) & M.Com (FC) organized a Workshop on AMOS on 28.07.2026 at C Block, Lab 7. The workshop aimed to provide students with practical exposure to AMOS (Analysis of Moment Structures), a widely used software for Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) and advanced statistical analysis. The session was handled by Dr. R. Veemurugan, Associate Professor, Department of Commerce, Karpagam Academy of Higher Education, Coimbatore, who served as the Resource Person. He explained the fundamentals of AMOS, model specification, path analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and interpretation of SEM results through practical demonstrations. The participants actively engaged in the hands-on training and interactive sessions, gaining valuable knowledge on applying AMOS in academic research and data analysis. The workshop enhanced students understanding of research methodology, hypothesis testing, and model validation techniques. It also strengthened their analytical and software application skills, encouraging them to utilize advanced statistical tools for quality research in commerce.
