Research Convention Building Skills for Scientific Excellence in Food Science and Nutrition

About the Event

The Department of Food Science and Nutrition, School of Life Sciences, Nehru Arts and Science College, organized the Research Convention 2026 on 17th and 18th August 2026 with the theme “Building Skills for Scientific Excellence in Food Science and Nutrition.” The first day featured expert sessions on “Emerging Research in Nutrigenetics: Implications for Public Health”, delivered by Dr. Janani Tamilvanan, Founder, Nutrigenetic Institute, Coimbatore, and “Innovations in Food Processing: From Research to Industrial Applications”, presented by Dr. Sudha, Associate Professor, Department of Food Processing and Engineering, TNAU. The second day focused on strengthening research communication and publication skills through a hands-on session on “Structuring a Research Manuscript for Successful Journal Publication”, facilitated by Dr. Ruban, Assistant Professor, Department of Biotechnology, Nehru Arts and Science College. Participants gained practical knowledge of scientific manuscript preparation, organization of research findings, and effective research communication. The convention successfully enhanced participants’ research awareness, scientific writing skills, innovation mindset, and confidence in pursuing quality research and publications, contributing to scientific excellence in Food Science and Nutrition.
