About the Event
As part of the observance of the World Humanitarian Day, The Department of Social Work in association with the UBA and Ornithology Club, jointly organized an awareness programme titled “Plant for Humanity, Grow for a Sustainable Future.” on 19.08.26. As part of the programme Mr. M. Siraj Deen, Co-Ordinator, Wild-Life and Nature Conservation Trust (WNCT), Coimbatore, delivered an informative lecture on “Preservation of environment.” He highlighted the vital role of forests in maintaining ecological balance, protecting biodiversity, regulating climate, and supporting human life. He encouraged students to take simple but meaningful steps such as planting and caring for trees, conserving water, reducing plastic usage, avoiding waste, protecting wildlife, and keeping their surroundings clean.
