About the Event

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion (CDF), School of Creative Sciences, Nehru Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore, successfully organized an Adjunct Professor Series on “Eco-Friendly Wet Processing Technologies for Sustainable Textiles” on 10 September 2026. The session was delivered by Dr. R. Subramanian, Denim and Textile Processing Consultant and Proprietor, Indigo Fashion, Erode, who shared valuable insights into sustainable textile processing, eco-friendly wet processing technologies, and innovative approaches to minimizing the environmental impact of textile manufacturing. The lecture covered topics such as sustainable textile processing methods, environmentally friendly wet processing techniques, resource and energy conservation, reduction of chemical usage, waste minimization, and emerging sustainable practices in the textile industry. The interactive session enabled students to clarify their doubts and gain a better understanding of the evolving technologies and sustainability requirements of the textile and apparel industry.
