Environmental Field Visit – Semmozhi Poonga

About the Event

The Department of Costume Design and Fashion (CDF), School of Creative Sciences, Nehru Arts and Science College (Autonomous), Coimbatore, successfully organized an Environmental Field Visit to Semmozhi Poonga for the I CDF students on 18 September 2026. The visit provided students with an opportunity to gain practical exposure to environmental conservation, biodiversity, sustainable practices, and the importance of maintaining green spaces. The students explored various plant species and natural landscapes and developed an understanding of the role of urban green spaces in promoting environmental sustainability. The field visit also helped students appreciate the importance of plant conservation, ecological balance, and responsible environmental practices.
