International Nelson Mandela Day Celebration

About the Event

The Department of Psychology and the Department of Social Work, Nehru Arts and Science College, jointly organized a programme to commemorate International Nelson Mandela Day on 17 July 2026. The programme aimed to create awareness about equality, freedom, peace, justice, human rights, democracy, compassion, social responsibility, and inclusivity. The event highlighted Nelson Mandela’s values of resilience, unity, dignity, and service to humanity. Various student-centred competitions, including Creative Strokes, Cine Sparks, and Connections, were conducted to encourage creativity, teamwork, critical thinking, and social awareness. The programme actively engaged students in reflecting on human dignity, equality, and their role in building a just and compassionate society.
