The Department of IOT& AIML successfully organised a workshop on “YOGA & FITNESS SESSIONS FOR WELLNESS” for the students of Nehru Arts and Science College on 16.09.2026, which was conducted by Mr. Nithish Kumar S, Teaching Assistant from the Department of IoT & AIML. During this practical session held at the Nasc Yoga Centre, the resource person Karthi M (Yoga Instructor, NASC) guided the II B.Sc AIML and II B.Sc IoT students through hands-on wellness routines aimed at building a healthier mind and a stronger future. The participating aspirants actively involved themselves in all the programs covered, practicing stress reduction techniques through Pranayama and meditation and enhancing their physical strength and flexibility through Asanas and dynamic stretching. Furthermore, the students focused on mindfulness exercises for a cognitive boost and received practical lifestyle guidance regarding optimal nutrition and healthy sleep habits.
The students are practicing Urdhva Hastasana (Upward Salute), a foundational standing yoga pose that stretches the sides of the body and improves overall posture.
The students are performing a standing neck or upper body stretch, a gentle routine often used in yoga to release tension from the neck and shoulders.
