TThe NHRC-sponsored One-Day Basic Training Programme on Human Rights and Legal Literacy, organized by the Department of Psychology and the Center for Research and Development at Nehru Arts and Science College on June 06, 2026, successfully educated students and faculty on foundational civil liberties. Through four expert-led tracks, the training demystified police reporting mechanics, women’s statutory protections under the POSH and Domestic Violence Acts, campus safety regulations, and digital privacy safeguards. As a direct outcome, participants achieved enhanced legal literacy, critical analytical skills to identify human rights violations, and actionable knowledge to utilize national cybersecurity and statutory redressal portals effectively.
